When Do I Feel Alive? Poem by Elena Sandu

When Do I Feel Alive?

When I have a walk beside
trees, or flowers, or weeds
when I search the sky
for the moon or the sun
the stars or the clouds
When I see or hear
the laughs of my dears
When the music of love
fills my heart through
my eyes my skin or my ears.
What a life do I feel when I,
full of happiness rely
on emotions with
greatest excitement
and beauty, of course!
But:
There is nothing
(not asking for)
to make me feel more
alive
than danger
my frustrating pain
and suffering
and worries
those are the most real
times of being aware
of my own existence
of my given life.
Those times,
a natural help
to stop my crave
for death,
button pushing
my soul's feet
(*_*)
to have a walk aside
of a tree, or flower, or weeds
search the sky
for the moon or the sun
the stars or the clouds
Looking for
the laughs of my dears
(*_*)
Listening to the
Universal music of Love
Shall fill my heart through
my eyes my skin or my ears..
Then...Such life may
make me feel stronger
Than my bones... and... very..
Alive.
