When Gambling Becomes A Sickness Poem by Dorsey Baker

When Gambling Becomes A Sickness

Gambler
you keep going
back to the bank
Gambler
you aint gonna
stop gambling
until all your
money is gone

gambler
you gamble to an excess
but no remorse
do you express

you enjoy the thrill
you gamble until
all your money is gone

you are addicted
you'dbetter stay away
because if you start
to gamble
you aint gonna stop
untilall
your money is gone!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Addiction is not thrilling. It is a conditioned mind that needs deconditioning either by itself or treatment. A poem that is worthwhile.10
