When I Change My Lightbulb Poem by Chuy Amante

When I Change My Lightbulb

Rating: 4.0

When I change my lightbulb does
the light get dimmer?
do I decrease the light,
it makes me look slimmer...

Do I take out what is
yellow and ageing
do I screw in new
LED white light! engaging!

Does my fascination
with light and all
of life's frequencies
let me peer in to
obscure darkness,
they said, 'no peeking! '

unknown places of
harmonious perfection,
peace beyond worldly
experience or description

Turn on the fog lights
cut thru the fog
see God -all in all
thru pain or your dog

This fun house of horrors
is a constructed machine
for the adventurous
not for the squims

It is the box of experience
step right in
and feel the cold vents,
then drop in
deeper in the hole,
get thrown sidewas
while fire touches thigh

we love this texture
the hot and the cold
we recreate it
after done being old

when it loses
its stimulation
you go into peace
a whole new nation

not letting the highs
and lows pull you
in for more, they got you!
they stole you!

let earth's fascinations all die
sit by The River, by and bye
peacefully, being with all in all
the whole as itself is all worthwhile

fun-house of horrors... a phrase to get your attention. If it's original, congratulations
