When I Like A Spec Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

When I Like A Spec

When I like a spec; the mountain top isn't hard for me to trek
Taking risk I will no longer be afraid
That my heart stake
Its all that do ring in my head
Like one whose intent is to excel
I do stick to every of my pledge
When I like a spec
I don't know how to pretend
I end up pulling her to myself
With words that suits her taste
Living where my spirit dwells
The last of my dime I will surely spend
I suspend other things close to my heart
To ensure I bring her into my life
That which I so much like
I do without looking back
Heart pump and equally swells
Eyes look starry and steadily stares
You don't easily lose a step
Where your mind use to stay.
