When I Look In The Mirror - Poem by nicola burkett

Not good enough
Not thin enough
Not pretty enough
Not worthy enough
Your opinions don't matter
You don't matter
Ever get that feeling?
It's hard to love something you despise
I find it hard to love myself
I find it hard to acknowledge the truth
The truth of myself and not this false disguise

Topic(s) of this poem: worth, self, self reflection

I find it hard to acknowledge the truth
The truth of myself and not this false disguise

Truly, at times and matters it's hard to acknowledge the truth
