When I See The Sun's Radiant Face At Dawn Poem by Mohammad Younus

When I See The Sun's Radiant Face At Dawn

When I see the sun's radiant face at dawn,
And all of nature smiles around me,
I feel as though I stand in paradise,
As once, Adam, I dwelled in peace
With Eve, my soulmate, in holy verse foretold.

When I am with myself, I hold her close,
My soulmate, and there I find my paradise—
Living in the divine's embrace.
For heaven is not somewhere beyond the Earth,
But the place where the divine calls me home.

When His light kisses me between my eyes,
I see beyond this world of form and dust,
And know, I am in heaven now,
For heaven is simply His presence.

He speaks to me, softly admonishing,
'Do not approach that tree, forbidden still—
For now, you are eternally in heaven.'

Heaven is not beyond the earth and sky,
It is where I stand in purity and peace,
Where the divine watches over me,
And shelters me under His loving gaze.
