When I Should Move On... Poem by Ishara Parveen

When I Should Move On...

Rating: 5.0

Arrival of dawn
fills me with wonder
and there I stood;
so deep in thought I was
that I missed the
chatter of birds
in the early hours.
Oh! I can't bear to start my day
without hearing them
for they are my lucky charm
for a good start.
I stood there regretting
and once again I missed
yet an another wonder of nature
while the sun stood
there at the sky;
laughing at me
for being a fool I was
for wasting time and new wonders
by standing there regretting
when I should move on time
to encounter yet another marvelous
hour of the day.

A witty piece of poetry set aside for deep reflective thought. A work of an intricate mind.
