Paving Its Way
Windows shut tight
my mind hollow,
sealed off from passer-by
though my soul was-
peace found its way
grumbling along its path to
where my heart resided...
grudgingly I left
my door ajar
as hope replaced
the numbness
that I was accustomed to
till today.
