When I Would Die Poem by john tiong chunghoo

When I Would Die

i ask my brain where i would die
after a few minutes' silence
it comes back with 'here'
i ask my brain when it woule be
and it keeps very mum
i ask again and it keeps mum
it keeps so mum, refusing to
put me in a state of fear
