When In Austin Poem by Bree Z Love

When In Austin

Rating: 5.0

I'm still not fond of you Austin, due to your ruly nature.
Feelings of being undernourished;
Lured, me to try those hit and miss spots to kick up my heels.
Yet, those stars failed to lighten and illuminate.
Me, in revelation, foresees a diminished future.
If I stay; I will be labeled, "A Lone Star's Perished."
I carry on with satchel of spirits and false cheers.
Uninspired, I hold on to my keepsake.
I miss my city life,
Versus, living this Rustic Rural life.

This is an honest personal account of how life has changed with the change of living conditions. Beautiful and moving. Thanks, Bree.
