When It Rains Poem by Maria Williams

When It Rains

When it rains
The world cries
And droplets fall
From tear stained eyes

The sorrow mixes
With grim dirt
And memories fade
To shed the hurt

The droplets pound
Upon cement
And to realities
We must consent

Forgotten are smiles
Of long lost days,
Dreams, rainbows
And sunlight rays

For when the sky
Begins to gray,
Grief slips in
To bring dismay

A rather sad poem but it's honest and pure like the rain itself. '10! ' Warm Wishes, Marilyn
