When Loneliness Becomes Your Partner Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

When Loneliness Becomes Your Partner

It sits beside you in silence,
its breath heavy in the still air.
Shadows stretch long across the room, tracing the shape of absence.

Your voice fades,
a whisper swallowed by the void.
The clock ticks,
but no one waits for time to pass.

It holds your hand,
not with warmth,
but with the weight of knowing
that you are alone.

Each step echoes,
a hollow reminder
that the world moves on,
and you are still.

Yet in this quiet,
a fragile truth emerges-
that you can stand,
even when no one watches.

Loneliness is here,
but it does not own you.
