You ask God for direction
You ask for vision clear,
Why is it that you question
The love of one so dear?
He tells you that he loves you,
He promises his heart,
And still with reservation
You're afraid to let it start;
What is it that you long for?
What makes you hesitate?
Why can't you just be satisfied
Before it gets too late?
This man is giving everything
He owns to have you near,
And still you wonder if it's right.
The answer's very clear:
God gave you what you wished for
It's not the way you thought,
But love is speaking clearly -
What you need is what you got!
Linda.... This is a very nicely written poem. I love the way you have explained and the way you have maintained a rhythm... very good work! .......10/10 yes!

So many of us carry baggage from childhood days and seem unable to see that which is staring us 'lovingly' in the face. This poem, though generalized in content, has a personal ring to it that makes it doubly persuasive. Excellent penning. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
