The ground trembles low
a sigh that rattles night
A tremor shakes the heart
a restless rolling blues
Families clutch each other
eyes wide with fear
While the earth beneath them shivers, quakes, and rues.
Then clouds break open
a torrent pours like rain
Streets turn to rivers
muddy shoes in the groove
Rivers rise swift
the roof above sighs heavy
And every thunder rolls like distant war drum throne
In cramped shelters lanterns flicker low and dim
Mothers hum soft prayers fathers brace the door
Children's whispers turn to quiet sobs that spin
While hope drips steady
like rain on tin we're more.
Neighbors share blankets, whisper strength through the night,
Together they stand—family heart and home the blues unite.
