What was it I said
When we parted
With you standing at your doorstep
And I on the outside
I must have said something funny
That made you laugh
And laugh you certainly did
While waving goodbye to me
And I looked back at you
At your open soft red lips
Gleaming teeth and dimpled cheeks
You appeared more beautiful
And I knew I loved you the more
But
Tell me
What was it I said
When we parted last
Other than, we shall meet again
