When You Are Sad And Lonely Poem by Göran Gustafsson

When You Are Sad And Lonely

Rating: 5.0

When you are sad and lonely
And death holds up the end
When everything is broken
And nothing seems to mend
When skies are dark and grey
And heavy rains descend
Someone is there and listens
For every word you send

When light is out of sight
And you're the shadow's friend
When all there is is gone
And nothing's up the bend
When fate sings out of tune
And harmonies don't blend
Someone is there and bid you
A helping hand to lend

If the world though more like Poets, How much happier we'd be, Because at least in verses, We could share Melancholy. Very wonderful poem, full of tenderness and hope. Coincidence? I had just posted one of mine that begins almost the same way (When I am sad and lonely but has poetry as the saving friend) Thank you for this lovely, optimistic work
