Where? Poem by gershon hepner

Where?

Rating: 5.0

Where does God’s spirit dwell? I wonder;
in me, does it, or you?
I haven’t heard the heavens’ thunder;
Is that your problem too?
But think of it: why should he dwell
in either you or me?
For me why should he toll the bell,
and if you should agree
that you have also never heard
it toll for you, perhaps
we should not let us be deterred
by spiritual collapse,
but welcome it, until he shows
a sign that he engages
with us again, and won’t oppose
the battles spirit wages.
