Where A White Fountain Splashes Poem by Terence George Craddock

Where A White Fountain Splashes

in ancient times in evening
came beauty the sultan's daughter
every shining radiant evening
walked up down by splashing water

lovely were waves
of passion flowing
from her dainty steps
like fleet small slender
gazelle love runs
in soft bud breasts

every evening walks
a sultan's daughter
where a white fountain splashes
every evening stands
guard a young slave
where a white fountain splashes

every evening the slave
growing paler paler
where a white fountain splashes
by the sparkling
laughing leaping water
where a white fountain splashes
