Where He Went Poem by Amar Agarwala

Where He Went

He went to join the cedar trees
And lie under their shade,
In an old anonymous grave
That did seem somewhat staid.

Would no longer welcome his friends
Like he would do of old,
Those late afternoon siestas
Noisy guffaws untold.

Perhaps he no longer misses
All those he left behind,
Guess he now needs his little space
To rest his heart and mind.

I fathom he is wiser now
Knowing that fate sublime,
Will bring forth all his beloved
‘Tis a matter of time.
