Where She Went Poem by Amar Agarwala

Where She Went

Rating: 5.0

She went on a journey long
On that balmy summer's day,
Gifting her breath to the breeze
And to the sunbeams at play.

Her lifeless eyes staring at
Old pictures upon her wall,
They seemed beckoning from far
And perhaps she heard their call.

Could be some beloved stepped
From a picture on display,
Kissed her cheeks then held her hands
And gently led her away.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
WHEN WE DIE

I have reasons to believe that when we are about to die, our dead relatives come to fetch us. I was reading a poem by Emily Dickinson, titled - VANISHED, which stated some very similar and I felt inspired to write the verses youread here.
