Where Hell Awaits Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Where Hell Awaits

Alas, there is no sparrow
Resting weary, for the burden awaits in time
From the grave a lonely journey
Empty caskets with remains form prefect lines

One may wander within the grounds made sacred
Beyond is judgement, The fear is well defined
Oh sparrow, Thy virtue guides us over
Howls the hounds a warning if I try

A parcel of Earth partakes eternal binding
Eternal eyes gaze upon a sinful way
Oh sparrow, Is our God this unforgiving
Or has my worth so much less than feather weight

Left is nothing, without a value seen in Heaven
No more prayers will open Heaven's gates
Dear sweet lord, I don't deserve my sparrow
Forgive me not, and leave me to my fate

From a distance, a flock of birds are chirping
Now much closer one sparrow lingers near my grave
Undeserving, And still I hear them calling
I'm going home only by his saving grace
