Where I Am/ I Cannot Write - Poem by Shalom Freedman
WHERE I AM/ I CANNOT WRITE
Where I am
I cannot write-
The words come
But what do they say?
Time is not the Weariness
Death reminds us
That we with all our illusions
Will have this one moment only –
I am yes afraid
And even more in Despair-
Death is making no exception for me
And my little life is passing like a dream.
