Where I Want To Be Poem by Mwenyeji Spikes

Where I Want To Be

Those roads that lead to beautiful places, I want to travel on.

Those stories that give happy endings I want to listen to

Those memories that spur beautiful nostalgia, I want to behold

Those teachings that instill wisdom and valor, I want to sit and learn

That peace in the heart that cannot be stolen, I want to cultivate it

Those journeys that lead to the mountains of adventure I want to embark on
That breeze that blows across the seas and oceans, I want to feel on my skin

That rain that marks new seasons of grown, I want to drip in

That wealth that adds no sorrow or tears, I want to work and posses. it

That smile that makes all at ease and. I want to behold it.

That love that inspires a hope for the future, I want to create it.

That morning sun that. I want to busk in

That favour that opens doors to palaces and high places, I want to access it

That conversation that ignites brilliant ideas, I want to sit and have
.
That phone call that shares good news and delight, I want to pick and receive

The truth that brings insight, liberation and freedom to the soul, I want to share that
The mature wine that warms the gut and spirit I want to sip with joy
The still small voice which reasssures hope i want to stand still and listen

The last train which sparks the hope of a safe journy, i want to board it.

That matching suit and tie which exudes cofidence and triumph i want to wear it
The book of knowledge which inspires new ways i want to read and understand it
That content heart which stays grateful till the end I want to cherish
That answered prayer that turns everything around I want to celebrate for it
