i was conscious;
so i kept my ears opened
my eyes were exposed to uneven objects.
my nose was ready
to compete its companions
who report to their lord leaving no defects.
the powerful tongue was too
to upload the reactions of sapience
that might burn or stir the society's server;
My skin was skilled for a sensuous sink,
And then to reflect all the triumph's dazzling glow
Alas! ! The door of my heart was locked out of a torn care.
i was conscious; so i kept my ears opened- - it is amazing how little we actually do that. We walk about our lives not seeing what we see and therefore drawing no message or conclusions from the things we see or hear or taste or smell. If only we would remind ourselves that our days are numbered so we should treasure them much much more than we do! Excellent philosophical and poetic piece!
We can't fulfill, in many times, our desires.....consciously we suppress our unconscious to harmony with society....hence the mismatch between heart and tongue, inner and outer world, conscious and unconscious, ideal and practicality.... a nice poem sir which obviously reminds Freud's theory.....thanks for sharing....
