so this is where we stand
thought we'd last forever
guess forever wasn't in god's plan

i put my faith and trust in you
& now you say you want time
I'll give you you're space
but don't ever expect to be welcomed,
into my heart again
your entry is now forbidden in that place

you need time alone?
well I'm giving you forever
you'd think writing this, would make me feel better

but truth be told, it makes my soul grow old
makes my heart yearn for simplistic youth
i cry, begging forgiveness from the love we once shared
i cry, because i love you, & i wish you still cared

but most often, i cry, because of our future plans, and how they're now left in despair
