Where's The Flippin' End? Poem by Peter Vealey

Where's The Flippin' End?

Rating: 4.0

Planning something
Invariably causes distraction.
Ravens on rooftops,
Magpies hunting dustbins.
Obvious nesting and eating
Behaviors,
Go largely unnoticed,
By the dormant,
Great British Joe Public.
Waking me up a go-go.
A long way from the sheer white snow.
September fading like
Unwelcome festival revival,
Of the Covid - living nightmare.
'Waking me up a go-go.'
Oh no, I'm retired!
Can't be doing with all that.
Where's the flippin' door?
