There is a fear that drives every soul
To immeasurable doubt and despair
Where worry and fright brings silently
Sure death to the love we share
But the power of love is so impelling
Yet, in our hatred; we can only find
A fear that brings vengeance to you and me
And retaliation to which love is blind
Although fear is not as powerful
Our capacity to love is growing weaker
And as our patience and kindness abounds shallow
Our intolerance and harshness grows deeper
Anxiety resides in every living being
Creating phobias from all kinds of fear
But we have searched an empty world for love
Something found in a simple tear.
So I’m asking a simple question
Which is stronger: Fear or Love?
It depends on where you've been searching
Here on earth or from above.
