The War That No One Sees Poem by Kelvin Gene Lee I

There is a war going inside of us
That we sometimes can’t explain
Battles that cripple our reasoning
Where good thoughts are often slain

It is said that hindsight is 20/20
While foresight is clearly blind
But the only guarantee to victory
Is the right thought at the right time

Will we be victorious in our thinking
Where reason and wisdom will be served?
Or will we surrender to our ignorance
Causing afflictions we don’t deserve?

So as we struggle on the battlefield
Deep in the trenches of our minds
We need to think before we act
Or we will be wounded and left behind

So don’t take this war too lightly
Or you will certainly face defeat
From the assault and attack of foolish thoughts
That imprisons us all with treachery and deceit.
