Which Would You Like First... Left Or Right? Poem by Dee Daffodil

I invite you...
To walk in my boots if you will
Your feet must be tired and sore
After walking in those pointy things!

Which boot would you like first?

Here's the left..
Now keep in mind
That they aren't particularly rainproof...
Especially if your directing traffic
For hours on end

Hmmm...this one seems to have a familiar odour
What is that smell? ?
Ohhh yes...of course!
Cow manure!
I had forgotten that beastly inspection
Of all those starving cows
A few years back
Funny that they still
Smell like manure after all these years
Don't mind that...I'll brush it off

Ohhh...and...by my inspection
Of the souls
I can see that they really were due for a good brushing!
What are those little bits
That seem to be caught in the tread? You ask? ?
Well...those...
Those would be tiny bits of flesh, brain, hair...
And maybe even bits of bone
From that fatal accident a few months ago
One tries not to walk through the scene...
Not always possible!

And those black ones....
They would be bits of char...
From a fatal housefire I went to awhile back
I'll just wash them off for you...
That should take care of that...
And anything else
You might find sticky on the bottoms

Now then...as for as the tops...
Well...yes...they really are a bit scuffed up
But you know...
One doesn't boot doors...
And roll around on the dirt at fight calls
Without getting a little bit scuffed...
Nothing a little bit of boot polish...
Won't take care of...

They really are quite comfy though...
Although they do tend to be...
Rather hot and sweaty
In the mid summer heat...

Well...no...
They don't come in a variety of colors
And they sizing...
Well lets just say, I've always figured
It's better to have them a bit too big anyway...

Hey!
Where are you going? ?
Didn't you want to try them? ?
They really are awesome boots! ! !

Hmmm...

Maybe they weren't her size....
