Whispering Promises Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Whispering Promises

Make a whispering promise of love in my ear.
Allowing my faith to know that you'll always be near.
Freeze not my heart abound with clenching acquire.
Quench out the flame with your lips of desire.

You quiet my soul with a lasting embrace.
Soft is your skin with a beautiful face.
Flowing gentle waves of golden brown hair.
Melting my soul in a blending ensnare.

I promise to love you beyond life and time.
Two hearts joined together forever entwined.
My only desire in this lonely life.
So I'm asking you darling to please be my wife.
