Whispers Of Fear Came Down The Line Poem by Terence George Craddock

Whispers Of Fear Came Down The Line

Rating: 5.0

whispers of fear came down the line
whispers of fear in death sweats
death was up ahead death was waiting
up ahead death's around the corner
no need to run off fast to met death
no need to walk no need to wait
no need to appease shadow death
give death the old loose forward

skill winger rugby side step

it is time to keep to the straight road
unless heading over a cliff or into
a ditch then turn or U-turn as needed
but there was no fear death and I were
friends death and I rode motorbikes
together death and I raced the wind

alpha male teenage testosterone bulletproof

raced life diced the odds in Russian
roulette glee games war was just
another race another dance with death
while the shells zeroed in screamed
mortars rocked death trap jungle
rockets roared jets fired napalm burst

governments love male teenage draft into conflict zones

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

if humanity attains enlightenment, the right to chose peace will be a recognized human right; however compulsory military service and a state imposed draft in times of war are the reality in several countries; a love of peace and living in peace is denied for citizens in war conflict countries

I wrote the poems 'Citizens Caught In Spiderweb Wars' and 'If Humanity Attains Enlightenment', inspired by my comment on my poem 'Whispers Of Fear Came Down The Line' and dedicated to all true faithful lovers of peace.
