Whispers Of The Heart (A Trilogy Of Love) Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Whispers Of The Heart (A Trilogy Of Love)

1.The Meeting

She walked into the quiet room,
a breath of warmth in the still air.
Light clung to her shoulders
like a secret only the sun knew.

He looked up,
a moment caught between then and now.
Time, careless as it was,
paused for the first time in his life.

A glance,
a question unspoken.
Two hearts shifting,
unaware they had already begun.

2.The Becoming

Laughter filled the spaces
where silence once rested.
Fingers brushed,
the world learned a new shape.

They built a home in the pause
between words,
in the quiet hum of shared breath.
Days slipped into nights,
not counted, only lived.

Not all was easy.
Storms came, and walls cracked.
But love-stubborn, patient-
mended what hands could not.

3.The Always

Years wrapped themselves around them,
soft as ivy, strong as roots.
Love was no longer a question,
but the air they breathed.

Their voices carried the weight of days,
gentle, knowing, unafraid.
Even as silver touched their hair,
their hands held as they once did.

Not every love story is loud.
Some are quiet as morning light,
steady as the tide,
endless as the sky.
