Who Called A Struth An Emu

It's too late now,
but by not going to the Greek for ostrich,
strouthion,
who named our largest flightless bird,
missed out on calling it struth.

Instead of calling it the pertinent 'struth',
(what you say when you see one,
for surprise at its size)
what did who do?
Who went to the Portuguese for 'ostrich':
who called a struth an emu.

Who would call it's sound a moo.
That's wrong too.
