Who Do We Believe In America Amidst All The Corruption

Who do the American people believe now,
In a world of corruption that furrows the brow?
Where once stood heroes, now shadows reside,
Trust shattered and scattered, like the ebbing tide.

Amidst the chaos, truth's voice is obscured,
In webs of deceit, the innocent lured.
Promises made, then conveniently erased,
The people stand puzzled, hearts sorely displaced.

Gilded tongues spin tales of false repute,
As virtue and honor face their acute refute.
Scandals and lies in corridors of power,
Dark clouds gather, an ominous hour.

Yet hope remains, a glimmer in the night,
A quest for justice, a relentless fight.
For in the hearts of the people, a fire burns,
Yearning for leaders who, with integrity, adjourns.

Let not disillusionment dampen the flame,
Seeking the truth must be life's guiding aim.
United, we stand, against the tempest's flow,
Reclaiming the essence of what we bestow.

For who do the American people believe now,
But those who embody the truth, I vow.
In unity, we'll mend the corruption's sore,
To rekindle a nation that stands strong once more.
