He ruled your house
with an iron fist
You had no control,
and because of this you were pissed.

So you decided to show him
'Who's the boss'
but did this help
when you felt inferior?

or make up for the loss
of love you never knew was there?
I know it's tough
to deal with this

but you can have control
if in putting God first, you insist.
It may not be easy,
to give Him control
but doing this will eventually result

in making you whole.
So trust in God
and give Him control,
humble yourself,
your name's on the roll.

Fully trust in Him
and you will see,
when worrying about these changes,
you lose time that could have been filled with glee,
but when you give it all
to Him who saves,
you can enjoy yourself,
because anger will be in its grave.
