Who's Your Favorite Child Star? Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Who's Your Favorite Child Star?

Down where they drop off babies who have to work two jobs to support their parents
Past the turn-off at post-schoolmarm impracticality
The cast offs squat defiantly in the place where memory loiters
Victims of television crimes draw no redress other than to be recognized by strangers

I'd like to take a can opener and open you up
Fill you with an appreciation of your current position

You like to untie knots when it has now become the time to tie knots
Devil may care direction makes cute the dirtiest thing you've ever seen
Our Mary mother of Satan holds fast those who stray into her place of worship
Age is just a channel to be flipped through
