He who walks with the wise grows wise,
For like salt Wisdom's influence spreads.
Their chosen words guide to open his eyes
To the road of Righteousness, he is led.
Good company helps to nourish the seeking mind
Graced with views that challenge one to thinking,
Where idle talk or vain chatter one cannot find-
But there see values that are worth the keeping.
Bad company corrupts the good in Character
With foolish lips where Gossip finds its birth,
And many fools reveal themselves in laughter
When drinks have loosened tongues by careless mirth.
