Who Will Light Up The Summers

hyperbole I miss you so

tall tale too,

where did you go

fish story hung out to dry

all the mermaids start to cry

mirror in the mirror and far beyond

what have they done with

the once upons

where have they stowed you

illusory words

why have they silenced the merry, bright birds

in the greenwood o

the music box turning, calliope too

carousel estrangements

river flooded, too

gold taffy apples no longer at sea

in the secret hold for you or for me

all of the fireflies are flying away

who will light up the summers?
