You sit silently
hardly even aware of
anything at all
You look into the water
you look through the window
made of dreams
and of nightmares

Is this where it will end?
Is this truly the final move?
Why do you look like that,
so still upon the shore?

You should wake up
from your peaceful slumber
Please... wake up.

How am I supposed to continue on
without you by my side
guiding me through
all the hard times?

I clutch your hand
Why is it so cold?
I shake you
Why do you not stir?
I look into your blue eyes
Why are they so still?

People come
they try to take you
I will not let them
They speak to me,
tell me why.

Why must death
be so cruel?
