Why Do I Cry By Linda K Marsh The Inspiration For 'Why You Cry' - Poem by Tony Jennett

You told me that you loved me
You told me again,
And again I believed you.

We lived through times not good, not bad.
We loved and lived; and always had
Each other

We talked and talked, we always could
discuss whatever, there always was
a way

We had the best, we worked and played
We knew how to make the most -
I thought

You were strong, I was weak
except when I was strong, and then
you asked.

The question seemed unreal,
No dont! It won't
It did

You always made things happen

You're a very talented writer, Tony, but this isn't one of your best. (Report) Reply
