Why Do They Write? - Poem by Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi

Why should he squeeze his brain,
during every waking minute,
to write something as the star,
assuming himself as its twinkle,

chasing away all his pleasure,
that found in his dear spouse,
and kids, his activated brain,
his dreams, his fun on his own,

in the state of trance as if in love,
in the state of spell to fulfill,
someone's need of thrill,
Let him write something fresh,

if he scavenges he may smell foul,
f he plucks and shows, he may fall,
If he dissect the ideas, he may waste,
if he ingests and expresses, he may be famous..

I think I know who you are talking about. Actually it could be one of several. You make a good point that one should not spend too much time on anything, and should not neglect loved ones. Facebook, for example can be a real time killer. Thanks for sharing. (Report) Reply

Stars write the twinkling light and in every walk poets write nice breath in every poem with wonderful expression of sense even in the state of trance as if in love or in sorrows or in agony. Very thought provoking poem shared with wonderful idea that attracts attention of readers. Nice sharing done really. (Report) Reply
