Why Do You Fear To Close Your Eyes Poem by Mohammad Younus

Why Do You Fear To Close Your Eyes

Why do you fear to close your eyes,
when I stand here, love, awake—
holding you softly in this cradle of night?
Let the stars draw near,
I am with you, I am light.

When shadows dance across your dreams,
follow the hush of my melody.
Each note carries you home,
where no dark lingers,
only the quiet hum of eternity.

Hush, my darling, don't you cry,
I will be your lullaby.
No more tears will touch your face,
I will guard this sacred place.
Through every sigh, through every ache,
I promise—I will be your lullaby.

Our hearts entwine in silent song,
mother to child,
soul to sky—
a thread of love, forever strong.
In this melody, we are one,
a lullaby spun by the hands of the divine.
