Why Do You Love Me? - Poem by Leslie Alexis

Lord God, why do u love me?
I say you're mine,
But I don't deserve thee.
Can you please,
Come down and fill me.

Nuff a time, I say I'll stop that.
Yet I turn around
And do the same crap.
Even then you're there for me,
Lord
Even then,
You hear my plea.

Lord God, why do u love me?
I say you're mine,
But I don't deserve thee.
Can you please?
Come down and fill me!

When I'm sick, my God you heal me
But tell me why,
Even when I don't please you
When I'm down,
Good God, you see me through.

Lord God, why do u love me?
I say you're mine,
But I don't deserve thee.
Can you please,
Come down and fill me.

I thank you,
You're so good to me!
I thank you,
A chance you gave to me!
I thank you, your life you gave for me!
God when I lack,
You fill my cup.
I was lost,
You came to my rescue,
Without you Lord, what would I do...

Thank you.
