Why Do You Sing? - Poem by Autumn Winds

A beautiful bird

Sits in the cage

And sings

Still it sings

Even after its imprisonment

And I cannot under stand why

Why do you sing your pretty song?

When you have no one but me to listen

Why do you sing your pretty song?

When your own kind is gone?

Taken from home

Domesticated and tamed

Why do you sing, beautiful bird?
