Why I Never Wrote This Poem Poem by Paul Buttigieg

Firstly I was lost for nice words but I had many
Un-nice
And why write the nasty lines why hurt
Why make you weep
Someone said if you cannot be nice
Then say nothing at all
So I am
You broke my heart when you stole from me
That does not matter anymore
Forgiving is, not writing this poem
I left my heart with you but I am going
Elsewhere, in my dreams I see a future
Without you
It is so far away
That's why I never wrote this poem
For you, I wrote it for me
