Why I Wear A Cdc Mask Poem by Randy McClave

I wear a Covid mask for the reason of three
First reason is for humility,
I don't know if I have Covid as I am not sick
But, I don't want to take that deadly risk.
It is clear that people can easily spread that deadly disease
And I don't want to send anyone to their knees,
And also just because I don't show the symptoms
I could still unknowingly make people Covid's victims.

I also wear a Covid mask because of kindness
Me wearing a mask is not a blindness,
I don't know if you or a loved one is battling cancer
But, me wearing a mask around the sick is my safeguard answer.
Remember this, though I might be healthy and look fine
And I might not even show an infection sign,
But, by my actions I don't want Covid to be spread or caught
Besides wearing a mask, I also took a booster shot.

I also wear a mask for my friends and community
Remember this, I don't wear the mask just for me,
But, I also wear it because I want everyone to survive
And I want my community to heal, and also to thrive.
I want businesses to stay open and employees to stay healthy
And through joy and happiness for us all to be wealthy,
And if any stranger(s) or friend(s) ever catches Covid
Battling and stopping the spread of that deadly virus I did.
