Why Not Color? Poem by Angel A. Lockwood

Why Not Color?

Why not some color?
Whose hair is it, anyway?
Forget about opinions
Of others
Just strut
Down the streets,
To the popular market place
Be sure not to wear a hat, and
To keep a big smile on your face
Then perhaps,when people see you
The color will erase
