Why couldn't it be just me
Said she,
As she began to plea.
When I told her, "no"
Then when I left to go,
But, why she wanted to know.
I left her for another
Which was my own druther,
No more will I ever smother.
Then at me she just stared
Looking a bit worried and scared,
Then at me she then declared.
"I'm younger than her", she cried
"I'm skinnier than her", she then did confide,
"And I'm also prettier than her", which can't be denied.
Why not me she then said
As she was feeling confusion and seeing red,
Why not me, instead.
Then I stood up and I spoke
As my senses finally awoke,
These words and beliefs I did invoke.
She's softer than you
And she's also kinder too,
And she's always there faithful and true.
At me she doesn't scream or yell
Or treat me like hell,
When life for her isn't going well.
She doesn't play those silly games
Or ever calls me hateful names,
Or shoots me down into flames.
She doesn't tell me to shut up all the time
She doesn't treat me like I committed a crime,
Another man's steps she never tells me to climb.
To me she does truly hear
When I speak I feel joy, and I see cheer,
She makes me happy for being here.
My soul you did bruise
As you did mentally and physically did abuse,
That's why you, I did not choose.
