Why O Why, Dear mother, 'Why'
How can one ever know
Trouble follows when 'Why' is asked
Wherever 'Why' may go
Toys and boats don't always float
When toy soldiers take a ride
The water still can overflow
When waving them, Goodbye
Mothers never understand
Until the question, 'Why'
When the water overflows
There is no place to hide
Why O Why, Dear child, Why
Why are you all so bad
The answer is, O mother dear
Is 'Why' We always ask
