Why Seek Nirvana? Poem by Jonathan ROBIN

Why Seek Nirvana?

Life's curtains are a veil through which few see,
as many haste taste-waste eternity,
mixed up, ignore life fixes finite score
to/through infinite opportunity.

Can "Truth" exist? all ask, who'd seek its core,
most boast then turn to toast, wan ghost before
obituary's inked. One nod, one wink
then, in a twinkling, knock on Lethe's door

Why seek Nirvana? "Love" speaks more than "Think".
Reject 'Salvation's' wraith, -  faith's whine; wine sink..
Facts verify? why try when fake news' tree
on tap turns toxic sap vox pop must drink.

Misinformation's stains on every hand
plead first amendment's rights, together band
lame ducks blame all and sundry for their plight,
bury 'democracy' beneath Time's sand.
